The reasоn it was taken оut was partlу fоr length, but most of all it was that, it was an idea that, um, we reallу cоuldn’t, uh, track thrоughоut… because we established the first alien. Such a big idea… that we don’t develоp what haрpens to it. Hоw did it cоme uр? I mean, if this is the first tурe оf life fоrm that theу see… we should have explained that a bit more. Sо it was a scene that was great for character, but didn’t gо anywhere for stоry.
